Daniel

05/22/2012 Update – Got an email from the OHS confirming Daniel’s adoption!  Congratulations you gorgeous little man, have a life full of happiness and love.

Meet our latest foster cat: Daniel, a 7-year-old neutered male silver Persian with a luxurious mane and a laid-back personality.

DANIEL – ID#A141014

He spent 4 weeks with us recovering from a minor kitty cold and he was a great foster. Super clean litter habits, quiet and snugly. He loves to sit and hang out with people but still has a lot of play left in him. He likes feathery toys and the laser pointer the best.

The folks at the OHS do not believe that Daniel would do well in a house with other cats, and those guys know what they are talking about. BUT after some patience and a few warning hisses, Daniel did eventually get along with my two owned cats. They are very used to new kitties in the house being their foster-sibling though. The wonderful OHS cat-experts report that Daniel gets along wonderfully with dogs -which is pretty fantastic! Daniel, you are so cool.

Daniel, being the nicest looking thing in our living room.

Another thing that makes this hansom gentlemen unique is that he is declawed (the source -I think- of his uncertainty with other cats) on all four paws. He still likes to pretend to scratch, which is super cute, but all your  furnishing will be spared! Time you save not clipping nails will have to go into keeping his amazing coat in order. Daniel doesn’t love grooming yet, but we worked on it and if you do too, it would be an enjoyable and bonding activity for both of you.

If Daniel sounds like the right cat for your family, please find him on the OHS adoption page, or go visit him in the shelter (245 West Hunt Club Road, Ottawa). Look for the swanky silver mane.
