This Week’s Menu {August 24-29}

The bubby gets back from a work-trip tonight and his arrival will mark my official return to cooking. Being on vacation / on my own means that for about a month now I have done absolutely nothing in the kitchen.

Sometimes all the planning and prepping of meals can get irksome, so it was good to have a nice long break from it. It must be true what they say about absence and the heart because I am stoked to get back in there and make some good old-fashioned home cooked meals. It will also be nice to get off of the crumbs-at-the-back-of-the-fridge diet.


Friday – BLT Sandwiches

Saturday – Beef Stew, grilled peaches with raspberry sauce

Sunday – Miso-glazed Cedar Planked Salmon and Green Beans, go out for ice cream!

Monday – Grilled Pork Chops with Roasted Squash

TuesdayAntipasto Pasta

WednesdayWarm Scallop Salad

Thursday – leftovers

Friday – long-weekend kick-off at Atalier


The weekend will be spent up at the lake where my mommy cooks us all sorts of nice things.
